Cahuilla lands, Samhain in Séc-he 

aka Agua Caliente, Palm Springs

half moon at sunset around six.

A triangle, 4 torches above

Eagles’ close two, together

take us toward Lyra’s Vega

՚n third corner, the Swan’s—

oh Saturn! good morn’.

Connecting distant millennia 

night torches, moon star planets

gently grounding generations

revolving like Hayk’s circle dance!

Counterclockwise around the North Star

seen by the Cahuilla as the Pretty Woman

with the ladles’ stars, the Wildcat around her.

Wildcat turns a quarter in 6 hours, 3 months

to the same spot in 24 hours, 12 months

every clock-hour is halved for the stars—

whoa look, even the half moon shadows!

Cassiopeia, the crown! close to Ecliptic Aries!

huge Pegasus quad! the moon’s with Aquarius!

the Whale! with the Southern Fish! and Phoenix!

Three mountain sheep, steep, Orion’s belt.

“hay” means Armenian, “k” means many

Hayk the Patriarch of many Armenians.

midnight means half moon is setting;

Շերեփաժամ՝ Գիշերուայ Ժամ

Քըուիը-ին Սէք-հէ-ում Սաուըն-ին

այսինքն Ակուա Քալիէնթէ-ն, ՓՍ

կիսալուսին մայրամուտին ժամը վեցին.

եռանկիւն մը, չորս ջահեր վերը

Արծիւին մօտ երկուքը միասին

մեզի կը տանին Քնարին Վեկային

Կարապն ալ երրորդ անկիւնին—

ա՜հ Երեւակը կ՚երեւի, բալու։

՚Կապեն-կոր հերաւոր հազարաւոր տարիներ
